Children may be eligible under the ‘Together for Twos’ scheme for 15 hours of free childcare from the term after they turn two years old.
Information is available at your nearest Children’s Centre and the link below. They will check parents’ eligibly, complete the application and look for availability at nursery settings.

Free 15 hours childcare for Two year olds (30 hours from September 2025)
Am I eligible?
To be able to take up 15 hours of early education for your two-year-old (30 hours from September 2025) you must meet the eligibility criteria. Please visit GOV.UK for further information.
Where can I use it?
It's available at participating:
- Full day care (e.g nurseries)
- Schools
- Childminders
- Sessional providers (e.g. playgroups)
- Sure Start Children's Centres
From 1 January, 1 April or 1 September following your child’s 2nd birthday.
What isn't covered?
The 15/30 hours of childcare/early education for two-year-olds is not intended to cover the costs of meals, other consumables (such as nappies or sun cream), additional hours or additional activities (such as trips). Providers may charge a fee for these additions. If you choose to pay for these it is an arrangement between you and the childcare provider. However, you must not be required to pay any fee as a condition of taking up a 15 hours place, and must be offered alternative options.

Additionally, depending on the uptake within the Together for Twos programme we are able to offer two year olds places (8.45am-3.30pm) @ £10.00 per hour.

or £150.00 per week (either 8:45am-11:45am or 12:30pm-3:30pm)

These additional hours are eligible for payment through the Government's Tax Free Childcare Scheme. If you receive Tax Free Childcare, the government will pay £2 for every £8 you pay via an online childcare account that you may be eligible to set up for your child.

Applying for a place - Three Year Olds
Parents are invited to fill in an application form.
Applications are kept on file and, as vacancies arise, places are allocated in accordance with the guidance issued by the Royal Borough of Greenwich admissions policy (copies available from the school office).
You are welcome to visit the nursery. Please call the school office to book an appointment. You will be able to see the learning environment as well as discussing your childcare needs and any additional charges.
Appointments are usually around 10.00am
All 3-4 year old children are entitled to 15 hours of early education per week during term time, regardless of the employment status of their parents. This entitlement begins at the start of the school term following their third birthday.
We are also offer 30 hours free childcare to eligible children.
To qualify for the full 30 hours of free childcare, each parent (or the sole parent in a single parent family) will need to earn, on average, the equivalent of 16 hours on the national minimum wage per week (currently £183 per week), and no more than £100,000 per year.
Families where one parent is not in paid employment (or neither parent works) will not be eligible for these additional hours. Parents who are studying or in training will not be eligible unless this is combined with paid work which meets the minimum average earning threshold.
The government intends to make provision to support families where one parent is in receipt of benefits relating to caring responsibilities or has a disability and the other parent is working
Eligibility with be checked by HMRC and will be based on actual income earned.

Charges
The Government has introduced 30 hours of free childcare for children whose parents meet the criteria.
We offer both 30 hour and 15 hour places – with the hours spread equally across the week (i.e. either 3 hours or 6 hours daily)
Children are expected to attend school every day
There is an additional charge of £25.00 per week to cover sundries for children staying all day.
SCHOOL TIMES - for part-time (15 hour) places

Your child will have five x three hour part-time sessions, either morning or afternoon, to make up their 15 hours.

Your child will have five x six hour sessions to make up their 30 hours.
Additional hours can be purchased to allow your child to start at 8.45am (@£7.50/session = £37.50 per week) These additional hours are not available on an ad-hoc basis but need to be a regular arrangement for the duration of the school year
Extended Day Charges
The school will be open 7.30am - 6pm during school term time (except training days)
Two, three and four year olds (daily charge – based on current rate of £10.00/hour
7.30am-8.45am = £12.50 daily (15 hour part-time children)
7.30am-9.30am = £20.00 daily (30 hour full-time children)
3.30pm-6pm = £27.50 daily
